Community Health Centers of the Central Coast, Inc. seeks a Medical Assistant to work under supervision of the Health Center Manager and Clinic Services Supervisor. The MA will perform nonprofessional clinical duties, operate medical equipment, assist in patient care, and handle clerical tasks to support the team.

• High school diploma or GED required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred or the ability to pass within one year of hire.
• Minimum one year of recent medical assisting work experience in a medical setting; ECG, vital signs, venipuncture, injections experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Actively participate in assigned Patient Care Team duties and activities.
• Provide quality customer service using AIDET standards.
• Spend majority of time in direct patient care per process standard work.
• Administer medications per Provider orders; consult with Provider or RN as needed.
• Perform initial vitals, immunization screening, and health maintenance recommendations for specific age groups.
• Conduct in-house CLIA Waived tests and ensure daily quality controls.
• Assist with referrals/tracking for routine visits and external providers; document in EMR.

Educación

High school diploma or GED

Graduation from accredited Medical Assisting program

CMA/RMA certification preferred
