Job summary

Community Health Centers of the Central Coast (CHCCC) is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the on-site Medical Department. The MA will support the Health Center Manager and Clinic Services Supervisor by delivering high-quality patient care and essential clerical duties.

The role requires administering medications, taking vitals, performing select lab tests, and maintaining EMR documentation. Strong teamwork, HIPAA compliance, and patient-centered service are essential in this fast-paced

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; CMA/RMA certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
Minimum 1 year of recent medical assisting experience preferred.
Experience with EHR, vital signs, venipuncture, injections, and basic lab tests preferred.

Responsibilities

Actively participates in Patient Care Team duties.
Provides quality customer service using AIDET standards.
Administers medications per provider orders and consults with RN/Provider as needed.
Performs vitals, immunization screening, and health maintenance recommendations.
Conducts in-house CLIA waived tests and ensures quality controls.
Maintains accurate documentation in EMR and coordinates referrals.
Supports patients with comfort and culturally sensitive care.
