Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and clerical support for patient care in a fast-paced setting in Bristol, CT. The role involves vital signs, documentation, and collaboration with physicians and staff.

You will participate in point-of-care testing and manage scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations, with opportunities to float between offices as needed. Strong EPIC EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification.
• Maintain required credentials throughout employment.
• Certified BLS provider within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, reconcile outside medications and allergies, collect patient history and screenings.
• Conduct point-of-care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Assist providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Provide scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, and prior authorizations.
• Float to other Hartford HealthCare Medical Group offices as needed.
