Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or active CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association obtained within 3 months of hire.
• All required credentials must be maintained throughout employment.
• At least one year of direct patient care experience may be considered in lieu of education; MA externship preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under provider supervision, including vitals, patient history, screenings and health maintenance.
• Performs administrative duties and front desk coverage as needed.
• Conducts scheduling, referrals, chart prep and prior authorizations, with point-of-care testing and documentation.
• Floats to other Hartford HealthCare offices based on business needs.
