Job summary

Community–GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers, radiologic technologists, and patients in a fast-paced, patient-facing role. You will assist from check-in through discharge, maintain organized exam rooms, and help ensure an efficient, compassionate care experience.

Ideal candidates are organized, service-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative team environment, with MA certification and BLS in place.

Qualifications

• MA certification required at time of hire.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Graduate of MA program preferred.
• Certification options include CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance and eligibility.
• Room patients and prepare them for examination.
• Record medical history and vital signs.
• Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG).
• Assist providers during patient visits and communicate patient needs.
• Process co-pays and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Maintain exam rooms and front desk areas.
• Manage medical records and patient communications.
• Answer phones and respond to inquiries.
• Support daily clinic operations including opening/closing duties.
