Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Secure and manage a network of externship sites for Medical Assistant students and ensure a variety of placement opportunities.
• Achieve and maintain a minimum 40 extern to hire conversion rate across assigned sites.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor student performance and maintain relationships with externship partners.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements including TWC regulations.
• Collaborate with Career Services and Placement teams to support students' transition from externship to employment.
• Provide guidance to students regarding attendance, professionalism, and performance during externships.
• Conduct externship orientations and assist students with resume writing and interview preparation.
• Maintain accurate documentation including timecards, evaluations, and affiliation agreements.
• Track student progress and ensure completion of final evaluations and exit interviews.
• Promote the externship program through outreach and networking within the medical community.
