Responsibilities

Secure and manage a network of externship sites for Medical Assistant students.
Achieve and maintain a minimum 40% extern-to-hire conversion rate across sites.
Conduct site visits to monitor student performance and relationships.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements including TWC.
Collaborate with Career Services and Placement teams to support transitions.
Provide guidance on attendance, professionalism, and performance during externships.
Conduct externship orientations and assist with resume writing and interview prep.
Maintain documentation including timecards, evaluations, and affiliation agreements.
Track progress and complete final evaluations and exit interviews.
Promote the externship program through outreach within the medical community.
