Job summary

ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant for a full-time role at our Fort Pierce and Port St. Lucie offices. You will support in-office procedures, take vitals, and help manage a high volume of patients.

This position requires strong medical terminology knowledge, EMR experience, and excellent communication. Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus. We offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year hands-on Medical Assistant experience.
• Certification current or willing to participate in in-house 1 year training and national test.
• Comfortable assisting with surgical procedures.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians and team members.
• EMR experience.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answering patient calls
• Taking vitals
• Obtaining authorizations
• Scheduling diagnostic tests and surgery
• Preparing exam rooms
• Assisting the physician in exam rooms for procedures as needed (eg wax removal, biopsies, surgical procedures) and ensuring proper consent/scope of practice
• Scribe
• Cleaning and sterilizing instruments per CDC/ENTAAF guidelines
• Provide briefing of each patient before physician enters exam room
