Job summary

Madison Medical is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Endocrinology team in Milwaukee. You’ll work with physicians and staff to provide patient-centered care, room patients, obtain histories and vital signs, and help keep the clinic running smoothly.

This full-time, Monday–Friday position offers a predictable weekday schedule with no weekends or holidays, a collaborative team, and opportunities to build meaningful relationships with patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, military-equivalent training, or at least one year of MA experience.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Comfort using computers and electronic health records (EHR).
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a clinical team.
• MA certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and rooming patients and ensuring comfort during visits.
• Obtaining patient histories and vital signs.
• Preparing exam rooms and maintaining a clean, safe clinical environment.
• Assisting physicians with clinic procedures and patient care.
• Administering routine medications and vaccines as appropriate.
• Performing point-of-care testing when needed.
• Providing patient education within scope.
• Managing patient messages and calls in a timely, professional manner.
• Assisting with medication refills and prior authorizations.
