Job summary

Aultman Health Foundation in North Canton, OH seeks a Medical Assistant to support endocrinology physicians and staff. Day shift, full-time, Mon-Thu 8:00–4:30 and Fri 8:00–noon. The role emphasizes clinical support, patient education, and accurate charting in a fast-paced office.

Qualified candidates will graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program and obtain BBMA/RMA/CCMA certification within 90 days, plus BLS with RQI. A sign-on bonus up to $2,400 is available with a 2-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting Program.
• Certification (CCMA, CMA, or RMA) within 90 days of hire.
• BLS with RQI training required.
• TB testing, OSHA and HIPAA training as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Check physician schedules for add-ons or updates.
• Review patient medical records prior to visits for completeness.
• Room patients promptly and obtain vital signs and current medications.
• Refill prescriptions according to policy and protocol.
• Coordinate tests, pre-certifications, and physician orders; schedule tests.
• Complete and route billing forms and disability forms when applicable.
• Release medical records per office procedures.
• Educate patients on testing and medications ordered.
• Return patient calls by end of business day.
• Notify physician immediately of abnormal lab results.
• Restock and clean exam rooms after use per protocol.
• Document accurately in the EHR.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Practice Coordinator or Manager.
