Job summary

Aultman Health System is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to provide outpatient clinical support under supervision. You will assist Licensed Providers, record vitals, prepare patients for visits, and help coordinate procedures and tests.

The role requires Graduates of an accredited Medical Assisting program, and current certification as a CMA or RMA. A $2,400 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates, with a day shift schedule Monday–Thursday and Friday hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting Program.
• Currently a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
• High School graduate.
• Current CPR training.
• Completion of all annual requirements including OSHA, HIPAA, Safety, Employee Health service standards.

Responsibilities

• Check LP schedules for add-ons or updates.
• Review patient records prior to visit ensuring completeness.
• Room patients, verify identity, obtain vitals and medication list.
• May perform EKGs, lab testing, specimen collection, point of care testing, sutures removal under supervision.
• Coordinate precertification, authorizations, and physician orders; update LP schedule as indicated.
• Complete medical forms and route billing information.
• Copy and release medical records per policy.
• Document in medical record accurately and timely.
• Notify physician of abnormal or critical results.
• Restock and clean exam rooms; maintain confidentiality.
• Scribe for providers as directed.
• Assist with setup of office procedures.
• Perform instrument processing/sterilization as indicated.
