Job summary

Aultman Health Foundation is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to provide outpatient clinical support under the supervision of licensed providers. Responsibilities include patient check-in/out, vital signs, specimen collection, and coordination of tests and procedures.

Ideal candidates will be graduates of an approved Medical Assisting Program, certified or registered MA, with current CPR training and strong attention to documentation compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting Program.
• Currently a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
• High School graduate.
• Current CPR training.
• Completion of annual OSHA, HIPAA, Safety and Employee Health standards.

Responsibilities

• Check LP schedules for add-ons or updates.
• Review medical records prior to patient visits for completeness.
• Room patients, verify identity, obtain vital signs and meds list.
• Perform EKGs, lab testing, specimen collection, and venipuncture under supervision.
• Arrange procedures and tests with precertification and physician orders.
• Process and route billing information and complete medical forms accurately.
• Copy and release medical records per policy.
• Document in medical records timely and accurately.
