Henry Ford Health in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at the Ford Road facility. This full-time position includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus and benefits eligibility.

You will greet patients, collect accurate histories, record vital signs, support providers during exams, and handle essential administrative duties to ensure smooth patient flow.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Graduate from Medical Assistant program with externship (160 hours) preferred.
• Clinical medical assisting experience within past five years acceptable.
• CPR/BLS certification required by orientation end date.

What You Will Do

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Obtain and document accurate medical histories from patients.
• Measure and record vital signs, preparing patients for examinations or procedures.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Perform administrative tasks to support the clinical team and enhance patient care.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), OR
  • Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five years, OR
  • Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of one year of experience in clinical medical assisting, OR
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR
  • Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years, OR
  • Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years.
• Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
