• Current CMA certification with 5+ years clinical MA experience OR LPN OR EMT/Paramedic with 1 year clinical MA experience.
• Current BLS-C certification upon hire or during orientation.

Job Title

Medical Assistant

Family Practice

Shift Hours

Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

The position also requires:

• One late evening per week, either Monday or Tuesday.
• The second Saturday of each month, from8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (4 hours).

Applicants must be able to consistently meet these scheduling requirements.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum).OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years.OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
• Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
