Job summary

Henry Ford Internal Medicine - Davison Road seeks a Medical Assistant to provide compassionate patient care under supervision of providers. You will perform administrative and clinical tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience and support providers in delivering quality care.

Location at Davison Road in Davison, MI, with Full Time Days. Requires MA program completion and externship (or equivalent experience) and BLS-C certification; EPIC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with formal externship (160 hours) or one year of clinical medical assisting experience within the past five years.
• Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with one year of experience, or LPN/EMT training with clinical experience, or military medical training with clinical experience.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five years, OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of one year of experience in clinical medical assisting, OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years, OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years.
• Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
