Job summary

St. Elizabeth Physicians is hiring a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support to physicians and mid-level providers in a 40-hour weekly schedule. You will take vital signs, document patient histories, and assist during exams while ensuring HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and knowledge of MS Office. Training includes patient instructions and handling of lab specimens, with opportunities for growth via a solid benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
• MUST have one of the following: 1 year MA/CNA/PCA/STNA/SEH Clinical Care Tech; MA program; SEP internship; EMT; degree in Health/Biological Sciences with hands-on care

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and measure vital signs.
• Document patient history and notes in chart.
• Assist providers during exams and nursing procedures.
• Prepare patients for examinations and administer medications as directed.
• Maintain logs, handling of specimens, and HIPAA/OSHA compliance.
