Job summary

St. Elizabeth Physicians, Williamstown Primary Care, is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support to physicians and mid-level providers in a busy primary care setting. The role emphasizes patient instruction, accurate charting, and compliance with OSHA/CLIA/HIPAA regulations.

The MA will escort patients, assist with exams, collect specimens, and prepare medications under provider direction, while maintaining patient records and supporting revenue cycle tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one of the listed pathways: MA experience, MA program completion, SEP internship, EMT certification, or health/science degree with hands-on care.
• Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and patient interaction is required.
• Familiarity with OSHA/CLIA/HIPAA compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vitals in the chart.
• Assist the provider during examinations and procedures.
• Collect and prepare lab specimens; perform basic lab tests.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by the provider.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records and revenue-related forms.
• Triage messages and coordinate care with front office and providers.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper sterilization of work areas and equipment.
