Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant at time of employment (CMA/CCMA/RMA).
• CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
• Strong critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and counseling skills.
• Two years of clinical experience desirable.
• Willingness to learn phlebotomy and point of care labs.
• Preferred experience with Electronic Medical Records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients, obtain medical histories and vital signs.
• Monitor patient flow and assist with diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Respond to patient phone messages and triage under supervision of a licensed clinician.
• Maintain accurate medical records in the EMR and complete forms as needed.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and prior authorizations.
• Support daily clinic operations and infection control protocols.
