Job summary

Core Physicians in Stratham, NH, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative tasks at the practice. You will perform pre-visit work, assist providers, manage patient flow, and participate in vaccination and documentation processes.

The role requires CMA/RMA/CCMA certification or completion of a formal CMA training program, High School diploma, and BLS within 6 months. Excellent teamwork and adherence to policies are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification as CMA/RMA/CCMA or credentialed through a formal training program.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties such as pre-visit work, obtaining vital signs, medication reconciliation, and assisting providers with examinations and procedures.
• Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization and ensure exam rooms are stocked.
• Respond to patient portal messages the same day per policy.
• Complete pre-visit work, close gaps in care, administer vaccines, and process prescriptions.
• Schedule pre-admission and diagnostic testing and follow up with patients after procedures.
• Handle daily administrative duties: check-in/out, scheduling, phones, charts, billing, and payments.
• Maintain policies, confidentiality, and infection control; participate in daily huddles and team communication.
• Scribe when needed, document encounters, order labs, referrals, and prescriptions.
• Monitor care team metrics and provide coverage for other Core Offices as needed.
