Job summary

HCA Healthcare's CMC-New Hampshire Gastroenterology in Bedford, NH is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a compassionate team. This full-time role (Monday - Friday, days) supports clinical workflows, prepares exam rooms, takes histories and vitals, and assists with injections and minor procedures.

Qualifications include at least one year of medical assisting experience and MA certification (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA or ABR-OE).

Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assisting or direct clinical patient care experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification is required. Acceptable certifications include RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA or ABR-OE.
• Recent grads must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 60 days of employment OR
• Candidates with one year of MA experience without certification must obtain MA certification within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with instruments and ensure sterilization of supplies.
• Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians in minor surgeries and physicals.
• Answer practice calls and screen for referrals.
