Henry Ford Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support providers and nursing leadership. You will greet patients, collect histories, document vital signs, and assist during examinations to ensure a smooth patient experience.

This role emphasizes compassionate, efficient care and teamwork within a large, leading healthcare system. Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, taking histories, and assisting with procedures while leveraging EPIC EMR for accurate charting.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Graduate from a Medical Assistant program with externship (160 hours).
Medical Assistant certification with at least one year of clinical experience.
LPN license or Paramedic/EMT with clinical experience in the past 5 years.
Military trained medical personnel with clinical experience within the past five years.

Responsibilities

Greet and escort patients to the exam room.
Obtain and record accurate medical histories from patients.
Measure and document vital signs as part of patient assessments.
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and readiness.
Assist providers during examinations and procedures, facilitating efficient care delivery.
