Job summary

Henry Ford Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support providers and nursing leadership in delivering high‑quality patient care. You will greet patients, obtain histories, measure vitals, and prepare them for exams. You will assist during procedures and ensure smooth patient flow.

The role requires MA training with externship or relevant clinical experience, and BLS certification. EPIC EMR experience is preferred and a patient‑focused team environment is provided.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Graduate of an MA program with externship (160 hours) or 1 year clinical experience in the past 5 years.
Current BLS-C certification at hire or by end of orientation.

Responsibilities

Greet and escort patients to the exam room.
Obtain and record accurate medical histories.
Measure and document vital signs.
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
