Aiken Physicians Alliance is affiliated with Aiken Regional Medical Centers, a 273-bed acute care facility. The Medical Assistant provides patient care under physician direction, takes vital signs, performs venipuncture, and documents in EMR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or 1 year MA experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height).
• Perform venipuncture and procedures as directed by the physician.
• Document in EMR according to IPM guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations and assist front desk as needed.
