Job summary

Aiken Physicians Alliance, affiliated with Aiken Regional Medical Centers, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient care. You will interview patients, record vitals, perform venipuncture under physician direction, and document in the EMR per IPM guidelines.

You will prepare treatment rooms, assist with front desk coverage, and work as part of an interdisciplinary care team in a welcoming environment. BLS/CPR certification and completion of an MA program are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• CURRENT BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties under the direction of a physician.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height) and assists in procedures.
• Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Assists in coverage of the front desk as required.

Education
