Job summary

United Health Centers of the San Joaquin Valley seeks a Medical Assistant to join our state-of-the-art health centers. Support providers, ensure smooth patient flow, and deliver compassionate care in a diverse community.

We welcome experienced MAs and new graduates. Requirements include CPR, valid driver’s license, HS diploma or GED, and completion of an accredited MA program. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Completed training program in Medical Assisting from Accredited College.
• Possess a valid CPR certificate.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt medical support; maintains patient flow and exam room organization.
• Provides basic education and information to patients and alleviates anxieties.
• Supports organizational mission to provide health care access to the community.
• Communicates openly with supervisor and staff.
• Works flexible or extended hours as needed.
• Participates in in-services and meetings; respects others’ ideas.
• Abides by confidentiality rules.
