Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering excellent patient care. You’ll work directly with patients, assist with exams, testing, and specimen collection, and help coordinate care across teams.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year previous clinical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• In absence of completed MA Program/Externship/Internship, must have 2+ years’ clinical experience providing clinical support in community-based clinic and be subject to standardized testing and evaluation of clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
