Job summary

ProHealth Partners is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant Combo in Torrance, CA. The role combines front and back office duties, supporting providers and patients throughout daily operations.

The ideal candidate is bilingual Spanish, has 1–2 years of front and back office experience, and holds MA and CPR certifications. This DIRECT HIRE position offers a competitive hourly wage of $23-$24 and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and visitors, answers inquiries, and directs them appropriately.
• Schedules appointments to optimize patient flow and verify insurance eligibility.
• Prepare documents and maintain patient confidentiality and safety.
• Administer injections, draw blood, and prepare patients for exams.
• Document medical histories, intake notes, and visit reasons in the EMR.
• Assist providers with in-office procedures and immunizations.
• Coordinate follow-up care and lab results with patients.

ProHealth Partners is an established multi-specialty physician group and has been providing care to patients over the last 30 years. Our network includes over 250+ physicians in over 100+ clinics throughout the greater Long Beach, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire areas.

We currently have an opening for a Full-Time Medical Assistant Combo, in the city ofTORRANCE, CA.

Job Type: Full-time, DIRECT HIRE

Pay: $23-24 per hour

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8-hour shifts

FRONT OFFICE

• Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries.
• Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and exam room utilization by efficiently scheduling appointments.
• Keeps patient appointments on schedule by verifying patient insurance benefits and eligibility prior to the appointment; preparing necessary documents
• Maintain optimum patient confidentiality and safety.

BACK OFFICE

• Administer injections and draw blood.
• Room patients, take and record vital signs, and prepare them for provider exams.
• Document patient medical histories, chief complaints, and intake notes in the EMR.
• Assist providers with in-office procedures.
• Administer medications and immunizations.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens (e.g., blood, urine, swabs)
• Ensure equipment is sanitized and functioning properly.
• Coordinate follow-up care, including lab results, specialist referrals, and patient instructions.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bilingual Spanish (Required).
• At least 1–2-year experience in front and back office, (Required).
• MA Certified
• CPR Certified
