Job summary

ProHealth Partners is seeking a Full-Time Pediatric Medical Assistant in Los Alamitos, CA. The role requires bilingual Spanish, 1–2 years pediatric MA experience, and proficiency in drawing blood and administering vaccines to children.

The position is full-time, direct hire, paying $23–$25 per hour for about 30 hours per week, with responsibilities including patient check-in/out, room preparation, vital signs, and immunization documentation.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish required.
• 1–2 years hands-on experience as a Pediatric Medical Assistant.
• Experience with drawing blood and administering vaccines to children.

Responsibilities

• Greet pediatric patients and verify patient information.
• Schedule appointments and manage check-in/check-out.
• Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment for visits.
• Measure vital signs (temperature, pulse, height, weight, BP).
• Assist providers during pediatric exams, treatments and minor procedures.
• Perform routine clinical tests and screenings.
• Obtain and update patient histories, allergies, and medications.
• Monitor and maintain immunization records and vaccine documentation.
• Administer vaccines and draw blood as directed by the provider.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care to infants, children, and adolescents.
• Schedule referrals and assist with follow-up.

We currently have an opening for a Full-Time Pediatric Medical Assistant, in the city of Los Alamitos, CA.

Job Type: Full-time, DIRECT HIRE

Pay: $23-25 per hour

Hours: (30 hrs per week)

Job Duties:

• Greet pediatric patients and their parents or guardians and verify patient information
• Schedule appointments and manage patient check-in and check-out
• Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment for patient visits
• Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, height, weight, and blood pressure
• Assist providers during pediatric examinations, treatments, and minor procedures
• Perform routine clinical tests and screenings
• Obtain and update patient medical histories, allergies, and medication lists
• Monitor and maintain immunization records and assist with vaccine documentation
• Administer vaccines and draw blood as directed by the provider
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulation
• Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care to infants, children, and adolescents
• Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and assist with patient follow-up

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bilingual Spanish (required).
• At least 1–2-year hands-on experience working as a Pediatric Medical Assistant (required).
• Experience with Drawing Blood and administering vaccines to children (required).
• CPR Certified
