Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, is offering a 6-month co-op internship at our eastern Massachusetts locations. This full-time role (40 hours/week) starts January 4, 2027, and involves patient flow support, clinical assistance, EMR updates, patient engagement, and team operations.

The position requires currently pursuing a bachelor's degree, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to multitask. Preferred certifications include Medical Assistant Certification and BLS; ACLS may be

Qualificações

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree and enrolled for the full duration of the co-op internship.
• Demonstrated ability to use computer systems and data entry across multiple applications.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with interruptions.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitates efficient patient movement and appointment availability; greets and escorts patients.
• Supports clinicians with procedures, testing, and exam prep; performs point-of-care testing and maintains rooms/equipment.
• Updates EMR with vital signs, medical history, medications, allergies, and reconciles prescriptions.
• Assists with MyHealth Online enrollment, manages messages and referrals, and handles scheduling.
• Participates in improvement initiatives, orients new staff, and may perform medical secretary duties.
