Job summary

CloseKnit is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for an in-person clinical environment in Maryland. The MA will support clinicians with exams, diagnostic testing, and in-office procedures, while handling administrative tasks and patient intake.

Some weekend shifts may be required based on location and patient volume. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited MA program, and current CCMA/CMA/RMA with BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• Currently certified as CCMA, CMA, or RMA.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams, diagnostic testing, and in-office procedures.
• Conduct clinical intake, including patient histories and vitals.
• Administer injections and medications as directed by licensed providers.
• Perform venipuncture and collect lab specimens.
• Operate medical equipment such as EKG machines and other diagnostic tools.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and conduct basic procedures.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and ensure HIPAA compliance.
