Job summary

CloseKnit is seeking a Medical Assistant for its in-person clinical environment in Silver Spring, MD. This full-time role supports clinicians and daily operations with both clinical and administrative duties.

The position requires a completed MA program, active CMA/CCMA/RMA and BLS/CPR certifications, plus 2+ years of MA experience and EMR proficiency. Expect varied hours and potential weekend shifts in a multi-location setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience using EMR systems.
• Proven clinical intake and patient data collection.
• Lab specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• EKG testing and basic clinical procedures.
• Must meet state requirements and maintain active certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams, tests, and in-office procedures.
• Take patient histories and vitals; educate on treatment plans.
• Administer injections and medications as directed.
• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens for lab testing.
• Operate EKG and other diagnostic equipment; maintain clean rooms.
• Manage insurance checks, scheduling, and EHR updates.
