Job summary

CloseKnit is seeking a Medical Assistant for our in-person clinical environment. This full-time, non-exempt role supports clinicians with exams, vital signs, injections, venipuncture, and administrative tasks to keep daily operations running smoothly.

You will work Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, with potential weekend shifts based on location and patient needs. The position requires certification, EMR experience, and a patient-centered approach in a fast-paced primary care setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification; BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years Medical Assistant experience and EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic testing, and in-office procedures.
• Conduct clinical intake, including patient histories and vitals.
• Administer injections and medications as directed by providers.
• Perform venipuncture and collect lab specimens (blood, urine, POC testing).
• Operate EKG machines and other diagnostic tools.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and basic analyses.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, follow-up care, and self-care.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and sanitized exam rooms.
• Support HIPAA and OSHA compliance and quality initiatives.
