Job summary

North Country Healthcare (NCH) is seeking a Non-Certified Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and administrative support across its NH facilities. You will assist with patient care, manage office tasks, and maintain a welcoming environment under supervision of licensed staff.

The role includes assisting with examinations, patient vitals, scheduling, and basic lab tasks, including phlebotomy and CLIA-waived testing, while maintaining privacy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• Certification not required; ability to pursue certification within first year.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with routine patient examinations and procedures.
• Prepare examination rooms and restock supplies.
• Record patient information including vital signs and medical histories.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow.
• Assist with inventory management and cross-cover in other departments.
• Perform phlebotomy and CLIA-waived testing as directed.
