Job summary

North Country Healthcare in New Hampshire seeks a Non-Certified Medical Assistant to provide essential clinical and administrative support under supervision. You will assist with patient care, prepare examination rooms, record vitals, and help manage patient flow to ensure a welcoming, efficient clinic experience.

Responsibilities also include basic phlebotomy and CLIA-waived testing, keeping EHRs up to date, coordinating scheduling, and supporting inventory and communication between patients

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a medical assistant training program preferred.
• Certification not required; intended to sit for certification within first year.
• Experience in a clinical setting is required.
• Basic clinical and administrative skills needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with routine patient examinations and procedures.
• Prepare examination rooms by cleaning and restocking supplies.
• Record patient information such as vital signs and medical histories.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage the patient flow.
• Assist in operations, including answering phones and managing workload.
• Provide patients with basic instructions for medication and follow-up care.
• Perform phlebotomy and CLIA-waived testing; observe urine collection and batch prep.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Ensure clinic safety protocols and assist with inventory management.
• Facilitate communication between patients and providers; obtain authorizations.
