Job summary

Southwest General is seeking a Medical Assistant to manage all aspects of patient visits in a time-share setting, performing clinical duties and supporting clerical tasks. The role includes phlebotomy at the blood drawing station and coordination of patient flow.

The ideal candidate has completed an approved medical assisting program (certification preferred) and may have physician office experience, with high school graduation or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent who has completed an approved medical assisting program (certification is preferred but not required).
• Completion of an approved medical assisting program (certification is preferred but not required).
• Physician office experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• The Medical Assistant is responsible for all aspects of the patient’s visit, including clinical duties as well as clerical components.
• Provides phlebotomy skill for the blood drawing station.
