Premier Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is looking for a Medical Assistant/Clinical Assistant to work at our Malvern, Collegeville, and Exton, PA Physician's offices.

Essential Functions:

• Facilitates communication between patient and provider, including collecting and sharing pertinent information, and receiving directives from the provider.
• Prepares patients for visits: rooming, obtaining vitals, preparing supplies, reviewing paperwork, pulling radiology images, prepping injections, and entering data into EMR.
• Assists with cast application/removal, maintains exam room standards, monitors biohazard/sharps containers, and assists with prescriptions and forms.
• Responds to voicemails, prepares electronic charts, performs lab tests, maintains supplies and equipment, verifies testing results, scans documents, and prints schedules.
• Provides patient education, promotes a positive experience, maintains HIPAA compliance, and keeps workspace clean.

Education:

• High school diploma/GED required; Medical Assistant training program preferred.

Experience:

• 1-2 years preferred; CMA certification required if less experience.

Requirements:

• Pass MA competency exam within 24 months.
• Obtain active certification (e.g., RMA, CMA, CCMA, NCMA) within 24 months.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Experience with office procedures, insurance, EMR, scheduling software.
• Effective communication skills and ability to establish good relationships.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of healthcare, patient care, back-office skills, confidentiality, HIPAA, medical records.
• Strong computer, interpersonal, communication skills, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently or in a team, and demonstrate compassion.
