Job summary

Muskegon Family Care is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support a collaborative clinical team in Muskegon, MI. The role involves preparing exam rooms, collecting patient histories, vital signs, and assisting providers with examinations and treatments.

The ideal candidate has clinic experience, a current Medical Assistant certification, CPR/BLS, and strong computer and terminology skills to efficiently document in the EHR and support patient care processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Registered or Certified through the AAMA or AMT as a Medical Assistant is required.
• Computer and Medical Terminology knowledge (1 year minimum).
• CPR/BLS certification required within 6 months of employment.
• Experience working as a medical assistant in a clinic (minimum 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room, ensure room is clean and supplies ready.
• Document patient information and vital signs in EHR.
• Perform medication reconciliation and review allergies.
• Sterilize instruments and operate clinical equipment.
• Administer medications and perform routine lab tests as ordered.
