Job summary

The Anchorage Health Department is seeking a detail-oriented staff member to support the Reproductive Health Clinic with patient triage, appointment scheduling, and data entry in the electronic medical record system. This role includes assisting nurse clinicians, managing records, and handling clerical tasks as part of a dynamic public health team.

Responsibilities also cover scribe duties during client visits, data collection, and processing forms while supporting emergency response activities

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 18 months of experience in a health and/or social services work environment.

Responsibilities

• Foster and facilitate good customer service for the Reproductive Health Clinic, professionally triage client appointments and referrals, monitor client flow for client efficiency, utilize good management skills in maintaining records and processing data collection, assist nurse clinicians with clients and perform laboratory duties as needed.
• Scribe responsibilities include: provide data entry for clinicians in the electronic medical record program during client visits and assist with obtaining electronic consent forms.
• Provide the full range of office clerical functions including registering and scheduling clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• The Anchorage Health Department engages in emergency responses and related activities, including Crisis Health Action Team and municipal Emergency Operations Center, with potential emergency operations and recovery duties.
