Qualifications

• Working knowledge of EMR systems and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures.
• Take and record vital signs and patient histories.
• Document patient information accurately and on time in the EMR.
• Educate patients about pre- and post-procedure instructions, medications, and follow-up care.
• Prepare and restock exam rooms and maintain sterile technique.
• Manage patient flow, scheduling, and communication between patients, providers, and staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Are you a caring, detail-oriented Medical Assistant who does well in a busy clinic? Opti Staffing Group is looking for a Medical Assistant to join a healthcare team in Anchorage. In this role you'll help providers deliver quality, patient-centered care and keep the clinic running smoothly day to day.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and follow patient safety protocols
• Take and record vital signs and patient histories
• Perform routine diagnostic testing and point-of-care tests
• Document patient information accurately and on time in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Teach patients about pre- and post-procedure instructions, medications, and follow-up care
• Prepare and restock exam and procedure rooms so supplies and equipment are always ready
• Manage patient flow, scheduling, and communication between patients, providers, and staff
• Keep all patient information confidential and follow HIPAA

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or CCMA) preferred
• Previous clinical experience in primary care, urgent care, or specialty settings preferred
• Working knowledge of EMR systems and medical terminology
• Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, professional, and a team player
