Job summary

U.S. Dermatology Partners is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support licensed providers in clinic and surgical settings. You will collect vital signs, prepare exam and procedure rooms, and ensure sterile technique while explaining treatments to patients and documenting care.

You will administer medications as directed, assist with procedures, manage specimens, and help coordinate appointments. Strong communication and accuracy are essential for patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• One+ year experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and anatomy.
• Detail oriented with reliable professional attitude.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with good spelling and grammar.
• English communication skills (verbal & written).
• Basic to intermediate computer operation and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in exams and procedures, handing instruments and materials.
• Record medical histories, vitals, medications, allergies, and test results.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain sterile field; assist in surgical procedures.
• Administer medications under physician direction and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing; conduct routine lab tests.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow; greet patients in the office.
