Job summary

Billings Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant I for the Clinic Float Pool (part-time, 26 hours/week). The role supports patient care and administrative tasks across the clinic, collaborating with physicians, APPs, RNs, and LPNs to ensure smooth operations.

Starting wage is $17.00–$21.25 per hour, with varied shifts and a non-exempt status. The position requires a high school diploma, MA residency or certification within 12 months, and completion of required coursework within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of the MA residency or obtain certification within 12 months of hire (if applicable).
• Medical Terminology, Medication History, and New Clinic Staff Class within 6 months and/or prior to testing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, equipment and supplies based on patient needs and the specific type of examination or procedure.
• Assist with patient scheduling for appointments, diagnostic tests, treatments, procedures, and surgeries; assist with registration and co-pay collection as necessary.
• Obtain and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant data.
• Assist with minor procedures and physical exams, ensuring proper documentation in the patient\'s medical record.
• Maintain patient records and files, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards and HIPAA regulations.
