Job summary

Adventist Health Reedley seeks a Medical Assistant to perform non-invasive, routine clinical support under supervision of licensed physicians and clinicians. This role supports exam rooms, takes vital signs, performs venipunctures, and assists with audiometry and vision testing in a busy outpatient setting.

Required education is High School/GED; BLS for Health Care Providers is mandatory. CMA or RMA certification preferred, phlebotomy certification preferred, and CHDP training or certificates

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent licensure/experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
• Audiometry and vision training completed or CHDP certificate within six months of hire is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients, maintains recall and care logs.
• Obtains vital signs and reports significant findings to the clinic physician.
• Performs venipunctures as ordered.
• Performs audiometry and vision testing.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
