Job summary

Gundersen Health System in Iowa is seeking a Medical Assistant for a 0.8 FTE role (32 hours per week) spanning Monday–Friday day shifts. You will work across the Postville and West Union Clinics, greeting patients, updating records, taking vitals, and supporting department projects.

Starting pay is $21.34/hour with additional opportunities based on experience. Benefit options and retirement plans are offered as part of a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program, Practical Nursing program or Vocational Nurse program or education to be eligible for NCLEX-PN.
• High School Diploma or equivalency and MA Certification.
• BLS for healthcare workers.
• Medical Assistant Certification within 15 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with a welcoming manner and set the tone for their appointments.
• Update patient information in charting systems.
• Take vitals.
• Assist with project work that supports the department.
• Partner with a team of providers, medical professionals, and managers to support patient health journeys.

• Monday - Friday, Day Shifts. No weekends or holidays. This MA will work in both Postville & West Union Clinics:

What you need:

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program, Practical Nursing program or Vocational Nurse program or have completed education to be eligible for NCLEX-PN
