Job summary

Yoh Services LLC seeks a Certified Medical Assistant OR LPN for a contract role in Brentwood, TN. The position covers routine clinical duties in a primary care setting, including vital signs, injections, lab tests, EKGs, and patient intake.

You will also handle front-d desk support and records management. The ideal candidate holds national CMA certification or an LPN credential with hands-on externship and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting with hands-on externship completed (online courses not acceptable).
• Completed LPN program.
• CPR (BLS for Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer) with hands-on evaluation required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and record vital signs and measurements.
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for examinations.
• Sterilize instruments and manage supplies.
• Operate EKG and perform routine diagnostics.
• Administer injections and conduct lab tests.
• Schedule appointments and follow-up calls.
• Enter data and maintain patient records.
• Assist front desk and complete required forms.

Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Certified Medical Assistant
• Hours: 8:00-5 pm (60 min break) Generally need on Monday and Friday, however, might be able to utilize Tuesday - Thursday

What You’ll Be Doing:

Primary care, Well women's check ups, Vital signs, high Phlebotomy, Point of care testing,

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts
• Prepares treatment rooms and patients for examination
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials
• Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
• Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests
• Schedules appointments and makes follow up phone calls to patients
• Performs administrative tasks, completes appropriate client company and OSHA regulated forms, and provides assistance at front desk
• Keys data into computer to maintain clinic and patient records
• May require other duties as assigned

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• National certification in Medical Assisting OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not acceptable.
• Completed LPN Program
• CPR (BLS for the Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include “hands on” evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.
