Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse for a contract opportunity at its McLean, VA clinic. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with a duration from 9/28 to 11/08 and potential extension or direct placement.

The role will involve patient interviews, vital signs, room preparation, instrument sterilization, EKG operation, injections, routine labs, scheduling, and front desk support.

Qualifications

• CMA certification required; BLS upon hire.
• National certification in Medical Assisting is required; CMA only accepted.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs and record data in charts.
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist during examinations.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Stock supplies and manage medical materials inventory.
• Operate EKG and perform routine diagnostic tests.
• Administer injections and basic laboratory tests.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient follow-up calls.
• Perform front desk and administrative tasks and complete OSHA forms.
• Enter data to maintain clinic and patient records in the system.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse

needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh’s primary care clinic located in McLean, VA.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p

Duration: 9/28-11/08 with possible extension or direct placement

Pay: $19-25/hr (CMA) and $26-32/hr (LPN)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts
• Prepares treatment rooms and patients for examination
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials
• Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
• Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests
• Schedules appointments and makes follow up phone calls to patients
• Performs administrative tasks, completes appropriate client company and OSHA regulated forms, and provides assistance at front desk
• Keys data into computer to maintain clinic and patient records
• May require other duties as assigned

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• National certification in Medical Assisting (Diploma or RMA not accepted – CMA ONLY)
