North Alabama Shoals Hospital in Florence, AL is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the Cardiology team. This full-time, day-shift opening supports patient care through basic diagnostic procedures, specimen collection, and clerical duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Performs administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

How You'll Contribute

A Certified Medical Assistant who excels in this role:

• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.

• Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

What We're Looking For

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

• High School diploma
• CCMA, CMA or RMA Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 60 days of hire
