MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital in Damariscotta is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to support the Cancer Care, Blood Disorders and IV Therapy teams. This part-time (20 hours/week) role provides direct patient care and coordination across the cancer journey.

A sign-on bonus is offered: $4,000 for 0-1 years FT or $5,000 for 1+ years FT; prorated for part-time. Competitive benefits and a patient-centered team environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED; MA program with 160 hours clinical experience or equivalent.
• Certification: AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT; BLS within 30 days of start date.

This is a part-time, 20-hour per week position.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact by providing critical support to patients throughout their cancer journey, as well as those managing hematologic conditions. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
• License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification required. (Prior to 5/01/25 MA IIs with 10 years MA experience and employed by MaineHealth as a MA in the most recent 5 years are exempt from certification requirement). Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
• Experience: Six months of experience as a Medical Assistant or one year as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.

The pay range for this position is $21.09to $27.12 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
