Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant program, required.
• 0-1 year related work experience, required.
• 2-4 years related work experience, preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire, required
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination room and assist clinician with patient care.
• Escort patients to rooms and maintain efficient patient flow.
• Document vitals and patient information in the EHR.
• Schedule appointments and manage communications per guidelines.
• Maintain exam rooms and supplies, stock as needed.
• Facilitate transitions of care to UCC/Hospital when needed.
• Provide scribing services and support to the team.
