Job summary

Optimus Health Care is the largest provider of primary health care services in Fairfield County, with locations in Bridgeport, Stratford, and Stamford. We are recruiting a Full Time Medical Assistant to join our Bridgeport, CT team, working with providers, nurses, and front-office staff to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality, patient-centered care.

Ideal candidates have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program, with clinical experience and EMR familiarity.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Experience in a clinical setting; EMR familiarity helpful.
• Bilingual abilities (Spanish-English or English-Creole) helpful for patient communications.

Responsibilities

• Administers health questionnaires and assists clinicians in the exam room.
• Updates patient information in Epic (EMR system) and manages in-basket messages.
• Prepares patients for exams and treatments; prepares rooms with equipment and supplies.
• Assists with scheduling tests and treatments; adheres to infection control and privacy policies.
• Provides interpretation services when needed and supports administrative tasks.
