CMU Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Behavioral Health program in Michigan. You will support providers across multiple specialties, greet patients, document vital signs, and ensure exam rooms are prepared and clean in accordance with CMU Health standards.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration within a supportive team, and opportunities for growth through paid training and certifications.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required; MA program preferred.
• Valid CPR certification (BLS) required.
• At least 1 year ambulatory/office experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CMA certification preferred.

Mansioni

• Assist providers across specialties in a team-based setting.
• Greet, escort, and document patient information and vital signs.
• Prepare, clean and maintain exam rooms and equipment per infection control standards.
• Perform point-of-care tests and routine diagnostic procedures.
• Administer non-dose dependent medications and injections after competency.

What You'll Do

• Work alongside providers and fellow healthcare professionals as part of a cohesive team.
• Greet and escort patients from reception to exam rooms, document vital signs, allergies, medication history, and provide patient instructions following CMU Health standards.
• Prepare, clean, and maintain exam rooms and equipment following proper infection control standards.
• Conduct point-of-care laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures according to protocol.
• Administer non-dose dependent medications and injections after competency completion.
• Review after-visit instructions with patients to enhance their healthcare experience.
• Participate in projects aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery.

What You'll Bring

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Graduation from a Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• Licensure: Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred. Valid CPR certification required (American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Professionals or American Heart Association BLS).
• Experience: At least one year of Ambulatory/Office experience preferred.
• Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a strong dedication to patient-centered care.
• Preferred: Associate's degree as a Medical Assistant, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, and registration as a Medical Assistant.
